Description
This is a FREE reader's theater script that I have created based off of Ray Bradbury's short story 'All Summer in a Day'. If your class has read the story, then this is a great extension activity for your class. One possibility would be to have students do a comparison of the story and this script.
Reader's Theater:
-Engages students
-Promotes reading fluency
-Encourages student self-improvement and self-monitoring of reading
-Provides a motivation for reading
-Enhances and deepens student understanding/reading comprehension
No costumes, props, or memorization of lines are needed. Put your students in groups, assign them a part that corresponds to their reading level, and have them practice reading the script!
