This Algebra Made Simple BUNDLE covers everything you will need to teach about Solving Algebraic Equations and Inequalities.

The basic algebra unit reviews algebraic concepts using manipulatives and the advanced unit dives into solving algebraic Equations and inequalities.

There are ample suggestions for differentiation as this is meant for students with significant learning needs, especially autism who are tested on these standards.

I have included books in each unit to teach the concepts behind the calculations and well as provide step-by-step processes students can easily follow.

There are many examples of how to differentiate the material even more so all students can access the same activities at the same time.

Finally, I have included TONS of practice worksheets, probably more than you will need. You will be able to use this unit year after year, even with the same group of students.

I know you are being asked to teach more rigorous standards, and this can be truly challenging, especially in the upper grades. This material is meant to prepare students for testing and be successful with regular curriculum content in a way that is age-appropriate yet still accessible.

Much of what I have learned about curriculum development is incorporated in these units. For example, do not be afraid of repetition. It is critical that students with significant disabilities get to experience material over several days to be able to fully assimilate what is being taught. Also, adding visual supports to your printables and class activities helps students be able to pay more attention to the content you are presenting rather than the mechanics of what is expected. Finally, ask questions. Good questions!! Regardless of the material, if we can ask students good questions it will push them to think more deeply than before.
