Description

Looking for a way to help students review for state testing or a final exam in algebra? Or maybe a quick review at the beginning of 9th or 10th grade? These 9 review centers break the whole year down into topics. There are 5 questions each for a total of 45 questions. Students will have an answer sheet to record their solutions. The answer sheet includes the station names so students will know which areas they are struggling in. I allow them to work in pairs and use their interactive notebook (notes) from the year. I give them 6 minutes per station and rotate them through. Because of the fast pace and collaboration, they stay engaged and review all by themselves!

Topics include:

Solving Equations

Graphing Equations

Writing Equations

Inequalities

System of Equations and Inequalities

Exponents and Scientific Notation

Polynomials and Factoring

Quadratic Equations and Functions

Radicals

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Interpret expressions that represent a quantity in terms of its context.
Interpret parts of an expression, such as terms, factors, and coefficients.
Interpret complicated expressions by viewing one or more of their parts as a single entity. For example, interpret π˜—(1 + 𝘳)ⁿ as the product of π˜— and a factor not depending on π˜—.
Use the structure of an expression to identify ways to rewrite it. For example, see 𝘹⁴ – 𝘺⁴ as (𝘹²)Β² – (𝘺²)Β², thus recognizing it as a difference of squares that can be factored as (𝘹² – 𝘺²)(𝘹² + 𝘺²).
Choose and produce an equivalent form of an expression to reveal and explain properties of the quantity represented by the expression.
