Alexander Hamilton: The Making of a Patriot Musical Play, Activities & Worksheet

American History is part of the fifth grade curriculum. Lin-Manuel Miranda has created quite an interest throughout America with his musical Hamilton. How wonderful it is to stir up a desire to learn more about the history of America.

The musical presented in this packet contains unaltered facts and timeline. It is an original musical written for the fifth grade. It was written so grade school students can learn more about Alexander Hamilton and the history he was apart of.

In this 40 minute performance, that includes 7 original songs, we can see a glimpse of Hamilton’s life – how it began and the legacy he left. Enhance the learning and understanding of this man and the world that he lived in with the activities, worksheets and research provided in this packet.

Depending on the activity or activities you choose they could take an additional 15 minutes to several days to complete. This is the perfect addition to a unit on the United States of America, patriotism, the founding fathers, the revolutionary war, U.S. Government or American Independence.
