Description

Whether you call it aleph bet, alef bet, or aleph beis, Sephardic and Ashkenazic students learn rapidly with this activity and have fun while they do. It's engaging, effective, and fun!!

Students practice identifying the Hebrew alphabet during this fun, BINGO-style game of "Say and Cover".

Worksheets are boring and often don't engage students. However, this game for pairs or small groups engages students while they spin the spinner or draw a flashcard from the Hebrew deck that you print from this file. Students, then, say the name of the Hebrew letter on the spinner or flashcard, and cover that same letter on their game board. Only 4 letters are introduced at a time, with an option to review the previous 8 letters learned. The first player who covers all the letters on their board wins!

This revised product has many, great new features!

* Each 4 new letters and 8 review letters are organized into a set. You have options to choose game boards with either 4, 8, or 12 different letters which work as review game boards or just help with differentiating your instruction.

* Plus, you have your options to choose full 8.5 X 11 pages or half-pages (in each set) to save on printer budgets.

* Also, a tinted background behind each letter will help prevent glare and distortion for dyslexic and all readers. Every game board has letters randomly placed, out of alphabetic order.

* Bonus items included are: blank game boards and blank spinners for customizing or differentiating your curriculum (All you need is a brad and paper clip or a pencil and a paperclip to assemble the spinners.); also, optional flashcards to use instead of spinners, which do double-duty as Go-Fish or Memory game cards when you print them two times.

I designed the game to be used by foreign language teachers, Hebrew Day School teachers, Hebrew School teachers, preK teachers, and those who home school.

I have several other games with a winter theme called "Snow Day" that can be purchased separately or in larger book/file.

Skills: alef beis, alef bais, kriyah, kriah, reading alphabet
