Description

The study of oral traditions can be greatly enhanced by a close reading of proverbs. Africa provides a plethora of cultures which can be compared and contrasted through their proverbs. This project allows students to examine in-depth four African proverbs to recreate the society from which it derived examining both its intellectual and material milieu. Allow your students to demonstrate their creativity while examining the proverbs of African cultures. Examples included.
