    Description

    This bundle includes the following:

African Mask: History and Art Project: This presentation explains the influence African Art had on Picasso's art. It covers Picasso's art and the masks that he directly borrowed from as well as the characteristics and purpose of 16 masks from different regions of Africa. There are project directions and student examples included! This is a great resource for students working remotely in synchronous and asynchronous learning platforms.

African Masks Quiz and Comparison Activities

This presentation has students look closely at several African masks and determine which tribe they were inspired by or belong to. Students can either research African masks or use the African Mask presentation provided in my store. The presentation's activities vary and lend themselves to different teaching and learning styles.

All instructions are included in the presentation so you can use this resource for asynchronous online or in-person learning. The student art project can be completed by a wide range of learners. Instructions range from simple to more difficult. Extra steps can be taken out for younger learners.

Mixed Media with Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson: This 44 slide presentation provides viewers with a biography of the artist Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson, her artwork, and a mixed medium art project. Aminah, a native of Columbus, Ohio, believed that life for her people in America was an act of near-superhuman perseverance, and she was determined to capture that history in every medium she could. Students will be inspired by the variety of materials Aminah uses and her ability to tell a story through her art.

***All three art projects include step-by-step directions and a grading rubric.
