This product has dual uses.
1.) 36 Task Cards:
These task cards reinforce the essential vocabulary and concepts of Africa, and were designed to be answerable with standard classroom textbooks. Task cards can be used in a number of ways including at stations, bell ringers, exit tickets, and games.
And
2.) 36 Flash Cards:
Education trends come and go in but flash cards are a classic for a reason! When students need additional help with the content basics, flash cards reliably get the job done. Flash cards can be great for end-of-year review and for quiet independent practice for students who finish their work early.
Includes the following:
•Task cards and flash cards file on the history and geography of Africa (PDF, 19 pages). See the preview for a sample.
-To print as task cards, print pages 2-10.
-To print as flash cards, print pages 2-10 first and then print 11-19 on the back of the same paper.
Specific topics include historical challenges (colonization, apartheid, Rwandan Genocide); climactic and geographic features (Sahara Desert, drought, Nile River, wadis, the Sahel, Great Rift Valley, savanna); key concepts and vocabulary (desertification, animism, nomads) and more.
