What educators are saying

What an absolutely great resource! My kids really enjoyed acting out the adverbs and trying to guess what their friends had.
My students had a great time with this activity. It really helped them to understand the difference in adverbs and adjectives.

Description

Adverb Acting is played like charades. Acting out the adverbs helps students to grasp that adverbs modify verbs (it is also a great review of verbs!)

There are 48 verb cards and 48 adverb cards. The adverbs used in these games are adverbs of manner. Most of the adverb cards end in –ly.

There are two differentiated versions of the verb and adverb cards. One set has labels under each word telling students the part of speech (verb or adverb) the other set does not have labels.

This game can be played in a number of ways (directions included for each game):

-Group Charades

-Partner Challenge

-Guess the Adverb

-How it’s Done
