What educators are saying

This has helped my students so much with the concepts we are learning! They are able to do skills on their own and continue to perfect their skills.
My students love PBL packets! We use them for math centers for the students that finish their work quickly. Great for enrichment!

Description

This packet is great for students to practice adding and subtracting with regrouping. There are two levels in this packet: level one only goes up to 3 digits and level 2 goes up to 6 digits. This will make DI a breeze! There are 4 activities to practice which all use real movie data/numbers (listed below) and then 2 projects at the end. The projects are creating an addition and subtraction video and creating a board game to go with our own concession stand prices. I would recommend having a movie premiere party to show off student movies and to have concessions. There is also a note included to ask parents to bring in items for the concession stand!

Activities: All these activities require minimal teacher prep!

Activity #1: Find Someone Who (Addition Only)

Activity #2: Scoot Game with story problems. (Addition and Subtraction)

Activity #3: Board Game (Addition and Subtraction)

Activity #4: Find the Mystery Word (Addition and Subtraction)

Activity #5; Make an Addition and Subtraction Movie

Activities #6 and #7: Students will use our own concession
stand numbers to either write their own problems or
make their own board games.
