Do you want to make learning adding multiples of 10 fun? Are you looking for purposeful, digital, NO PREP, paperless practice for adding tens to two-digit numbers? This product is for you! This Boom Cards™ deck provides students practice with adding multiples of 10 to a two-digit number.

This game supports the Common Core Standard 1.NBT.C.4, 1.NBT.C.5a

Boom cards can be used in centers, assigned for homework, RTI, interventions, or even as whole group reviews. Students can play on laptops, tablets, phones, and Smartboards.

IIn this deck, students will add multiples of 10 to a two-digit number. This game is randomized so students can play over and over. Addition will be fun with these 40 NO PREP Task Cards.

There are 40 different cards that are randomized. Each time your students play, they will be shown 25 cards. This means every time they play, it will be a new game for them.

How do I play my Boom Cards?

After you purchase this product, you will download a PDF that will contain a link to your purchased cards on Boom Learning. To redeem your Boom Cards, you will create an account for Bloom Learning. The account that accompanies your purchase allows you to play the Boom Cards on interactive white boards and with individual students using Fast Play. Fast Play does not save student progress reports.

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases:
Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number, and adding a two-digit number and a multiple of 10, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used. Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
