Adapted Book Series for Teens and Adults with Developmental Disabilities

Are you looking age respectful books for your older students with developmental disabilities?

This adapted book is perfect for teens and adult with developmental disabilities that have moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. It can be challenging to find materials for students with more significant cognitive disabilities that are also age respectful. After searching for many different books and using the same ones over and over again, I decided to create my own adapted books with my Canva Pro subscription and my Maker license with Boardmaker. I use these books daily with my students and the interactive nature with the photographs and PCS symbols works really well.

This adapted book is excellent for interactive activities that can help your student build vocabulary, answer wh questions, communicate via their AAC device and/or verbal speech and learn emerging skills in literacy.
