Description

Make sure your students always have access to important resources during your class!  This set includes 6 printable PDFs of resources that are essential for your students to succeed in an AVID elective class or content class that utilizes AVID strategies.

I use these in my class EVERY DAY. They are kept in the baskets at the center of their table groups and students reach for them every class period to make sure they are doing their best work. Students use them while collaborating, interacting with their Focused Notes, creating higher order questions, and writing their TBEAR paragraphs.

Simply print these resources, make them accessible to students, guide them in their use, and you’ll be getting better WICOR skills in your classroom!

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • 6 printable pages in a 90s design
    • “I’m Finished” Page
    • “Focused Notes Interactions” Page
    • “Costa’s Levels of Questioning” Page with examples and sentence frames.
    • “Academic Speaking Frames” Page
    • “TBEAR Writing” Page
    • “Critical Reading Process Steps” Page

Ideas for use:

Use these various resources in your classroom when students are having academic conversations, asking questions of each other or the text, writing paragraph responses to essential questions, reading informational text, or when they are done with their assigned work!

Why your students will love this:

Students feel more confident when they have access to resources. They produce better work, practice academic skills, and develop skills that will go beyond your classroom.

Prep is quick and easy…Just print the pages, laminate if you wish, and keep them in student reach! Instruct your students to use the resources at the appropriate time and before you know it, they’ll be using them on their own!
