As a teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, many of my students use American Sign Language to communicate.
As I looked around my classroom a few years ago, I noticed that there were very few things in my classroom that reflected the first language of my students. I really want my classroom to reflect the needs of the students for three reasons.
First, I want the students to feel comfortable in their environment
Secondly, I want the decor in my classroom to be used as resource in our everyday learning.
Finally, I wanted to have a beautiful environment to come into every day.
