What educators are saying

My students love this product. This goes well with our unit on How We ExpressOurselves as we discuss the elements of art and principles of design. We study several artists and complete art activities inspired by the artist.
LOVE is an understatement! This bundle is a lifesaver. We have artist/paint study in our school and each packet for each artist was so engaging, clear, simple, and time saving. The students got a lot out of it-especially looking at each artist's masterpieces and writing about them! Thank you!

All About Famous Artists Packet Cover

    Description

This bundle of 11 Famous artist studies is a great way to incorporate art into your primary classroom!

I have always found it challenging to make the time for art lessons, but not anymore. I have created this resource to help you integrate art across academic areas.

Each resource includes a packet cover, artist biography, vocabulary page, close reading questions, writing paper, and 14 pages of printable artwork to study the artist. This resource is great for whole class reading lessons, reading groups, writers workshop, as well as your instructional art time.

This bundle includes an extra "Artists All Year" packet cover.

Note: I personally introduce the artist during my reading group time and work with my first graders in small groups (but the reading lessons can be done whole class as well). I print the art work of the artist on card stock to laminate display around the classroom (that way it can be used in the following years) and allow students to do a "gallery walk" and talk to each other about the art work as if they were in an actual art museum. We then discuss what they noticed about the art work and what paintings they like or found interesting. When we are done studying the artist we paint one of their artworks during instructional art time.

**NOTE: All information and artwork used in these packets is school and primary appropriate.
