AP Psychology School Year Outline Calendar of daily topics and activities

This document contains a complete year skeleton of daily topics, activities, reading HW assignments and an assessment schedule based on the textbook "Psychology" by David Myers, 10th Edition but it can be easily adapted to other versions of the textbook.

The calendar is backwards planned to give each chapter 2 weeks of study with an assessment scheduled for every other Friday and on the alternate Friday a vocabulary quiz is scheduled.

This calendar was developed for the 2015-16 school year. I will post my newest calendar this summer :).

The schedule is based on a school week with three 50 minute class periods and one 90 minute Wednesday/Thursday "block" period.

The document dates are very easy to adjust so you can use this calendar for many years to come if you are happy with it or if you make modifications to better meet your needs.

I currently use this calendar and I have since I began teaching the course. The high number of tests is based on the "testing effect" concept of review and in my first year of teaching AP Psychology, my students had a 92% pass rate, in no small part due to the structured design of the class that kept my students and myself on track.
