Description

AP® Art and Design (Advanced Placement® Art) takes a lot of planning, prep, and scheduling in order to be successful. This bundle pack includes everything you need to start the first day of class in a photography-focused AP© Art and Design course.

Although there isn't an official AP Art photography portfolio, photography students can submit their work under the 2D Design portfolio. This pack focuses on building the skills and preparing students who will primarily use photography in their portfolio.

In order to set your AP® Art class up for success, you need to be organized and upfront with deadlines and you need to get your students on the same schedule starting day one.

This bundle pack includes:

➢Quick links to download and submit the College Board sample syllabus (they recommend using their syllabus for quick approval).

➢2D Design portfolio student info sheet

➢2024-2025 editable calendar with due dates and more

➢Sustained Investigation and Selected Works student checklist

➢AP® Art sticker chart

AP© College Board recommends using their sample syllabus, updated with your information, to submit for approval. Links to how to access their sample and submit are included in this pack.

Every year each of my AP® Art students gets a copy of our AP Art year-long timeline. It includes each project start, deadline, in-progress, and final critiques, as well as homework assignments and due dates. This gives my AP® students a snapshot of the year so they know exactly what the pace looks like and what assignments are due when. The timelines is based on my school's calendar, start date, end date, and breaks may vary based on your school district.

Each of my AP® Art students gets a copy of their project list for both guided assignments and sustained investigation. They get to check off when their project is completed and when it has been photographed and uploaded to the College Board® website. This gives them an organizational tool and ownership over their own portfolio.

As a fun motivator tool, I put up a class sticker chart with each of my AP® student's names on it. Every time they complete a project (including photographing and uploading it to the website) they get to put a sticker in the area they completed. 20 stickers await them at the end of the year.

Teaching AP® Art is enough work! Give yourself a break and purchase pre-made and tested products.
