    Hang these posters in your room or add to your small group flipboard.

    Handprint Alphabet Book

    Have each learner make a handprint like the examples included for each letter.

    Letter Poems

    Print these poem as a poster for whole group instruction or add to your small group flipboard. Available in portrait, landscape, black and white and pocket chart strips..

    Word Wall Cards

    Print and post these cards on your word wall.

    Sorting Center

    Have your learners sort the pictures and letters on a pocket chart.

    Playdough Center

    Have your learners form the letters with play dough. Make a binder by placing each page in a sheet protector to create a center as you introduce each letter.

    Letter Puzzles

    Print and cut the puzzles for learners to match the letter with the initial sound pictures.

    Picture Letters Posters and Workpages

    Post these letters in your room for learners to use as they complete their dictionary page and have the learners color the pictures on the page.

    Flipcharts

    Print these charts as a poster for whole group instruction or add to your small group flipboard.

    Dictionary Workpages

    Have your learners complete one of the workpages as a center or morning work. Post the picture letters or flipchart pages for them to use.

    Write the Room Center

    Post the picture cards around your room. Have your learners trace or write the words as they find them around the room.

    Manipulatives

    Use these pictures to create puppets using popsicle sticks, felt pieces by gluing felt to the back prior to cutting or magnets by attaching magnetic tape to the back of each picture.

    Letter Hats

    Have the learners color the pictures and cut out the front band and back band for each learner. Staple the bands together to make a hat (Use a sentence strip if the hat is not long enough)

    Letter Necklaces

    Have the learners color the letter and picture circles, cut the circle out (with a 2” puncher), hole punch on the top and attach to yarn to make a necklace.

    Color by Letter Workpages

    Have the learners color the pictures according to the directions.

    Letter Identification Workpages

    Have the learners use a bingo dauber to find the letters on the page.

    Initial Sound Workpages

    Have the learners color, cut and glue the correct pictures.

    Dot the Letter Workpages

    Have the learners use a bingo dauber to dot the letters on each page.

    Handwriting Workpages

    Have the learners practice forming the letters on each page.

    Letter Mats

    Have your learners color the pictures, dot the letter and write the letter on each mat. Make a binder by placing each page in a sheet protector to create a center as you introduce each letter.

    Letter Flipbook

    Have the learners rainbow write the letter, color the picture, cut and staple the pictures to make a flipbook.

    Letter Sort

    Have the learners sort the letter by capital/uppercase and lowercase.

    Emergent Readers

    Print the readers for your learners based on their reading level. Three levels are provided that can be used in small group, read to self, or sent home.
