Description

You will find lessons and activities for African history and geography in this product.

Physical, cultural, historical and economic geography of Africa are addressed in these worksheets, word searches, projects, puzzles, and other activities.

Directions for using EXCEL and the details for creating a chart comparing population change in a selection of African countries are included. All projects and handouts are student tested.

In addition, students will become familiar with unique regions of Africa such as Ghana and the Monomotapa (Mutapa) Empires, Swahili, and the rise of Islam and the Arabic language in northern Africa.

Many of these items work great in learning centers.

A class project for a "tour" of the African continent is included that will turn your room into a virtual continent. A simulated passport makes this a true tour.

I include my internet Scavenger Hunt for details about Africa which is a popular activity.

Answer keys provided for most assignments.

See Preview for complete table of contents.
