Description

The ABC's of Health Book is a Zero-Prep, Google Slides template that allows students to choose 26 different alphabet words related to health and wellness, define each one, and explain why each word is important to their physical, social, or mental/emotional health.

This Google Slides resource contains:

1. ABC's of Health with Grading Rubric (36 slides)

2. Editable or Customizable Version ABC's of Health with Editable Grading Rubric and editable terminology word bank (27 slides). This version is useful for age and ability differentiation.

The ABC's of Health Book also includes detailed directions and two complete sample slides to provide examples for students.

The ABC's of Health is a perfect for:

  • Introduction to Health Education or PE.
  • A semester or year-long project for all students to work on during free/extra class time.
  • Early finishers of regular class work as an enrichment project.
  • End of the quarter, trimester, or end-of-the-year summative activity.
  • End-of-the-year project.

The ABC's of Health is an ideal activity to assign when you are in need of a last-minute, no-prep assignment for:

  • Substitute teachers
  • An independent activity
  • An alternate project
  • Physical education assignment

Students of all ages have fun finding health-related words, learning more about those terms, and finding pictures or photos to add to each letter of the alphabet slide.

By providing students with the tools and knowledge to understand the terminology and interconnectedness of their physical, emotional, and social health and their overall wellness, you can empower students to make informed decisions and develop habits that support life-long health and happiness.
