A Virtual Fact Finding Mission to India!

I created this webquest when my class was reading the short story "Rikki Tikki Tavi". I wanted to create an interdisciplinary lesson and wanted students to learn about the setting of the story (India). It asks students to navigate the India information website and answer the questions included in the webquest. More specifically, students will identify parts of India by looking at a map, compare and contrast our National Anthem to India's, and compare and contrast their national game (hockey) to how hockey is played over here. It also asks students to calculate how many rupees (India's currency) would a T-shirt that costs 18 US dollars be. Students use thinking maps, mathematics, and their literacy skills to answer the needed questions.
