Description

Persuasive Writing PowerPoint teaches students how to write to persuade an audience. It gives students a "recipe" to follow when writing a persuasive essay and the basic framework for a persuasive writing piece, starting with an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement, at least three well-supported paragraphs that have a topic sentence related to the thesis statement, and a conclusion that restates the thesis and calls the reader to agree and take action. This digital resource teaches how to be prepared for counter arguments and write with strong ideas, voice, fluency, organization, presentation, and conventions. Includes topics for consideration, information on the writing process, examples of thesis statement and topic sentences, words to avoid in writing, and a printable handout for student notebooks. Share with students in OneDrive and in Microsoft Teams. Upload to Google Drive and save as Google Slides, and it will automatically convert. Then use it in Google Classroom. It is editable and easy to make adjustments if necessary. View in Slideshow mode. Use in video conferencing or Zoom for remote learning. Please see full preview. Note: animations do not show in the preview.
