Description
Keeping students engaged and on task during the upcoming holiday season can be quite a challenge. This performance task gives them the opportunity to invest that energy in an activity that challenges their mathematical thinking while also tapping into real world application of skills.
This project consists of eleven task cards that take students step by step as they pay it forward to Santa by redesigning the North Pole. They will be given certain criteria to follow and then be given the opportunity to branch out and apply their own personal stamp on their designs. Recording sheets and grid paper are included to help students organize their designs. Whether done in partners, small groups or individually, this project is sure to be as huge of a hit in your classroom as it has been in mine!
