Description
"A Dancer's Body" is an anatomy, nutrition and kinesiology based Unit plan taught through Ballet technique. The content in this Unit is suitable for 6th-12th grade students (no prior dance technique is required, but please differentiate facilitation for age appropriation. Through the dancer’s research and exploration of anatomy, kinesiology, and nutrition, the unit will provide them with many understandings of what a “Dancer’s body” is relative to the way that it anatomically functions, the ways that we nutritiously fuel it, and the kinesiological processes that occur in dance technique, performance and choreography - specifically Ballet.
