The author, Tammy Lynn Schiel/Umm Rashid, born in America in 1975, entered into the universal faith of Islam at the age of 20, embarking upon a path of knowledge that eventually led her to produce a piece of work in the field of Tajweed that previously was unavailable to non-native Arabic speakers, until now. Based upon her research into the field of Tajweed, she came to know of a classical text within the field, and set forth studying the text, receiving her license of it, إِجَازَة, and compiling this book. The final result of her effort and her editor alongside her, produced this book you now hold in your hand, enabling its reader to gain a deeper understanding into the field of Tajweed by way of a classical text and offering both the student and teacher alike the means to achieve a proper recitation of the Qur’ân.
