Description

This resource gives a brief background and geography to George W. Bush’s 911 Speech (also known asThe Declaration of George W. Bush – September 20, 2001”). Students are introduced to a few literary terms and are guided through an analysis of the speech. Students also develop strategies for persuasive speaking by articulating one excerpt from this speech. This resource aligns with the Core Knowledge Sequence: 8th Grade History and Geography, The Middle East – September 11, 2001 attacks, p. 207.
