    Description

This resource combines all my no prep paper based STEM activities.

They are all suitable for distance learning. Students need only paper, pens, scissors and they can do these fun, enriching, science activities.

*NEW* 2 bonus activities on sea animals!

    Resource #1

    includes:

    3 paper pen and scissors STEM activity sheets - no prep {growing!}

    • Fish craft analogy to Gulper eels
    • Double imaging and iridescence in peacocks
    • Paper cut out, butterfly eyes and mimicry
    • suitable for a broad range of ages
    • simple, intermediate and advanced versions of each activity.

    In detail:

I am working on a packet of only pen and paper amazing stem crafts.

These can be done at home because they don't require materials.

    Each activity includes:

    • instruction sheet with line art illustrations
    • extra photos
    • a beginners template
    • fun scientific fact that relates the the craft.

On the eel project I included a link to a one minute video.

The fun fact is what gives this resource its added value, it makes the activity richer by teaching a scientific fact or concept.

In the first activity - double vision - students create two pictures on one paper. The two pictures are viewed from different angles.

In the fun fact rubric, this nifty trick is compared with the the peacock iridescence.

The second craft creates a gulping fish. This is a chance to get fun facts on the gulper eel. Older students are encourage to create a gulper eel version of the craft - this requires a deal of engineering and planning!

The third includes a paper cutting craft and instructions to create butterfly eyes. Fun facts and mimicry vs camouflage included.

This is a perfect solution for no-prep individual work.

Any new resource I upload is free for 24 hours.
