What educators are saying

My students are huge fans of these self-checking activities. I love how these help students recognize when they have done something incorrect and that my students are more self-motivated to correct their work to complete the activity.
I loved using this resource for testing review. I was able to differentiate assignments to what each student needed.

Bundle Exclusive: 8th Grade End of Year Functions Review Activity

    Description

This bundle of 5 engaging digital activities will provide your 8th grade math students with instant feedback as they solve problems related to all CCSS Grade 8 Math standards.

This self-checking, auto-grading Google Sheets activity is just what you need for:

    • Test Prep for Standardized Assessments
    • Wrapping up at the end of the Data unit
    • Reviewing all learning for grade 8 concepts and skills at the end of the school year

Students will answer each problem by typing their answer in the appropriate space on the spreadsheet. If they are correct, their answer will turn green. If they are wrong, their answer will turn red, alerting them to fix their mistake before moving on.

There are 12 digital task cards for each digital activity (60 total digital task cards) that cover all Grade 8 Math standards from CCSS including the following strands:

    • The Number System (ex: classifying numbers, approximating irrational values, repeating decimal conversions, etc.)
    • Expressions & Equations (ex: properties of exponents, scientific notation, systems of linear equations, etc.)
    • Functions (comparing different linear representations, analyzing function graphs, etc.)
    • Geometry (angles, transformations, Pythagorean Theorem, volume, etc.)
    • Statistics & Probability (scatterplots, two-way tables, etc.)

Two options of Google Sheets are included for each activity:

    • Option 1: Includes a motivational mystery puzzle of an image with a motivational phrase - perfect for increasing student engagement any time of year

    • Option 2: Does not include a mystery puzzle - perfect for any time of the year and/or for students who may benefit from less visual stimuli

An optional, printable work-recording sheet is included for each activity with plenty of space for students to show their work on paper.

An answer key is included for the digital Google Sheets versions AND for the printable work-recording sheets.

Verify experimentally the properties of rotations, reflections, and translations:
Lines are taken to lines, and line segments to line segments of the same length.
Angles are taken to angles of the same measure.
Parallel lines are taken to parallel lines.
Understand that a two-dimensional figure is congruent to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, and translations; given two congruent figures, describe a sequence that exhibits the congruence between them.
