Description
This full year visual art curriculum is going to give you your life back! That might sound dramatic but these 8 units covering everything from drawing to painting, printmaking, sculpture, design, collage, relief sculpture, calligraphy etc. will truly save you so much time. I have spent hundreds of hours preparing these units, making teacher examples, handouts, presentations and more so you don't have to! You can now spend more time with your family or just watch that extra episode on Netflix because I have prepared everything that you will need to teach these engaging units!
You will not have to do anything with this bundle but prep materials and teach. This resource includes 8 full units that span a year- one of which is my most popular Cardboard Sculptures unit. Most units come with a "START HERE" guide with all of the resources linked in order of use and a detailed materials list/unit plan with national art standards, big ideas, and objectives. It also includes: - brainstorming/sketching handouts - technique practice packets - teacher examples (step-by-step) - presentation with directions and student examples - detailed evaluations for grading - display signage for artwork displays Through these units students will learn and develop their skills/knowledge further in:
- Pen and ink illustration
- mark making
- principles of composition
- watercolor techniques
- value and reverse value
- drawing from life and from reference images
- collage techniques
- relief sculpture
- acrylic painting techniques
- relief printmaking
- clay handbuilding techniques
- mixed media practices
- hand lettering/ calligraphy
Here's the order to teach the units in:
Illuminated Letters
White Charcoal Origami Drawing
Mixed Media Collage
Cardboard Relief Sculptures
Hyperrealistic Water Paintings
Bisa Butler Inspired Quilt Portraits
Clay Bookends
Neon Signs
*NOTE: Some of these units are listed as 8 grade projects because I work at a high achieving school and the difficulty of these units was attainable for my students. However, it might also be good for grade 9. ***Remember to leave a review to earn credit towards your next purchase!
