What educators are saying

I love all of The Primary Techie's whiteboard videos. My students always get excited whenever I put one on. I can always find one to go along with what we are learning.
Such an amazing resource. It has been such an asset to my students and their learning. Thanks for all you do.

Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser. They are a wonderful resource for in-person AND distant learning.

This set includes a variety of skills and is a great review for your first graders. This growing set will continue to get new videos added in both math and ELA skills. Skills currently included are-

Brontosaurus Prepositions - "Is the brontosaurus beside the cave? Write yes or no!" I love these videos for building vocabulary. Click here to see a quick sample of this video!

Who's Hatching? - An egg is ready to hatch. We read three clues about the dinosaur inside and decide which dinosaur it describes from the three shown. Click here to see an example of this video!

Dividing Dinosaur Names into Syllables - There are two videos like this in this set. Students will first copy a dinosaur name off the board then circle each syllable in the word. After they are finished, the word is broken down and they see and hear syllables. This is a real challenge in dinosaur names because there are so many syllables! Click here to see an example. If you like this type of activity and are looking for more, I have a whole set of dividing syllable videos that you can find by clicking here.

Race to Write Dinosaur Names - "How many times can you write Pterodactyl in one minute? GO!" This video is a great way to practice handwriting while having fun writing complicated dinosaur names. Kids love the challenge of the complicated dinosaur names, but they are on the board to copy. Click here to see an example of this video.

Solid Figure Eruption - 3D shapes are bursting out of a volcano. A pterodactyl flies in carrying a sign with the names of solid figures. Can your students write the name of the 3D shape that bursts out of the volcano before he flies away? The kids see and hear the names of the correct answer before erasing their boards and writing the next shape that erupts. Click here to see an example from this video!

Dinosaur Museum Fact or Opinion - We're going on a tour through the dinosaur museum. We'll hear and read lots of things about dinosaurs. Are they facts or opinions? Students decide and write "fact" or "opinion" on their whiteboards. Click here to see this video!

Spelunking for Bones - We're diving into caves to find skeletons. A flashlight shines on some bones and then we look in a "Guide to Dinosaurs" book to see which dinosaur matches the skeleton we saw. Click here to see this video!

Fossil Base Ten Blocks - An ancient tablet has been found with hieroglyphics showing base ten blocks to 100. Can your students decipher the number shown? They must write it on their boards before a paleontologist dusts away bones revealing the number. The answer is also said aloud. Click here to see an example of this video!
