What educators are saying

These videos are super engaging! They were super helpful during those first few days when school starts and there is some down time or need to keep the kiddos engaged while you run around and collect things.
How amazing is this! Was such an amazing asset to the beginning of school. Kids were so excited to play and learn!

Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser. They are a wonderful resource for in-person AND distant learning.

This set includes a variety of skills and is a great review for your first graders. Skills included are-

✂️Bus Stop Addition and Subtraction - This set reviews basic addition and subtraction facts. We see a bus with kids on it and a whiteboard with an addition or subtraction sentence. Students solve the math equation on their boards. When we check it, we see the students get on the bus or off the bus making the math fact concrete. Click here to see an example from this video.

✂️CvC Review - Your students will hear a CvC word and write it one their boards. My favorite part of this video is when they check their answers. Each letter appears one at a time and we hear the sound of each letter before hearing the word repeated. This is such a great review for new first graders who may have forgotten some letter sounds over the summer. Click here to see a preview of this video.

✂️Bookworm Prepositions - This video is great for following directions and reviewing prepositions. Your students will see a worm and a book and hear a question like "Is the worm under the book?" They write yes or no before the correct answer is revealed. This little description does not do this video justice! Click here to see it for yourself!

✂️Counting On Crayons - We see a box of crayons and a few spread out on a desk.
"There are already 46 crayons in the box. How many will there be when these are put back?" Your students have time to write their answers before we see the crayons fall in line on a number line as they are counted aloud. This is great practice for counting on starting with any number. Click here to see it!

✂️Counting Syllables - How many syllables are in desk, backpack, crayon, and more! Your students will write the number of syllables then see how the word is broken into syllables as they check their answers. Click here to see it!

✂️Listen and Write Two-Digit Numbers - Your students will hear two-digit numbers and write them on their boards. Numbers are repeated three times before they are revealed. Click here to see it!

✂️2D Apples - These apples come in so many shapes! We will see an apple and write the shape. There is a word bank for spelling help. Click here to see it!

✂️Scrambled Sentences - Your students will see and hear words. They must write them in the correct order to build sentences. This video uses three to four word sentences. One word has a capital letter and another has a period at the end making them great clues for unscrambling. Click here to see an example of this video!

✂️Missing Numbers on a Hundred Chart - We see a hundred chart with many numbers hidden behind pictures. Your students have to identify missing numbers. I love how this shows them how to find the number. There is a great visual that shows how to use the row and column to identify the tens and ones. Click here to see it!

✂️Two-Digit Numbers with Tally Marks - We see fun school supplies creating tally marks. Students write the number of tallies shown. Click here to see it!

✂️Scrambled Sight Words - Time for school and this school of fish need to help the crab letters get in the correct order to spell sight words! Your students will hear a word and write the letters in the correct order before we see the crab letters crawl into the correct places. Words are very simple for beginning first graders. This set includes - play, with, of, the, that, my, and, like, you, is. Click here to see an example of this video!

✂️Color Words - What color is the backpack? Write it! There is a word bank with colorful crayons to help new first graders match the color and copy it. I love when they check it because the color word is read aloud then spelled out as the kids tap each letter on their boards to check their work. Click here to see it!

Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases:
Use addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
Distinguish between defining attributes (e.g., triangles are closed and three-sided) versus non-defining attributes (e.g., color, orientation, overall size); build and draw shapes to possess defining attributes.
Isolate and pronounce initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in spoken single-syllable words.
