What educators are saying

Thank you for this product! It is a great way to have students apply the concepts they've learned in class.

Description

6 NSB2 – Multi-Digit Division includes:

  • Three lessons (1-2 Long Division, 1-3 Division with Decimal, 1-4 Dividing a Decimal by a Decimal)
  • Pictures of the math notes I give my students to copy into their notebooks
  • Four YouTube video suggestions
  • Three practice worksheets with answer keys

Math was the subject I struggled most with when I was a student. However, it’s these struggles that make me an excellent math teacher. I have learned how to break the concepts down into clear & concise steps that students can understand.

I taught 6th grade for five years & will now be homeschooling my own 6th grader. This addresses 6NS.B.2 & 6NS.B.3 in 6th grade math curriculum I am designing. I am curating videos, creating notes, worksheets, & quizzes each standard. Check back, as I have more to come soon!

I generally provide at least two worksheets per standard. The first worksheet includes guided and independent practice sections. The second is usually independent practice & spiral review. This helps solidify the concepts and works well as homework.

  • In my classroom, we take notes first. Then, we watch the videos. I complete the guided practice with them and release those that feel confident to complete the independent practice. I continue to help struggling students at our back table. I then project the answers, and we correct the work together. If there is an additional independent practice page, I assign that for homework. The next day, I have them complete the corresponding quiz.
