  • Comparative literature (comparing oral, written, and film versions of the story)
  • Creative response – writing or filming my own version of the story
  • Analyzing the written, oral, and film texts
  • Role play and interviewing characters from the story
  • Social emotional themes
  • Exploring other subjects related to the film.

Includes other resource links and a download links for the films.

My filmmaking style has been influenced by my very meager budget. I work alone and handle all the costuming, set design, filming, and editing. To save money I create unique set pieces and often provide head transplants to bring new doll faces into my films. My film festival audiences appreciate my scrappy visual aesthetic. My films aren’t perfect, which means students may be influenced to make films of their own!

For those seeking Montessori-style integrated cross-curriculum lessons exploring English Language Arts, Social-Emotional Skills, Social Studies, Drama, and Character Education.
