What educators are saying

This is a great resource for extra practice and STAAR review. I also used it for intervention. I would recommended this product for a supplement for any of the above.
I used this as a resource for STAAR Review. It was a great resource and I will definitely use them next year.

Description

Revised 3-13-17

These worksheets are an extension of my TEKS Tornado Spiral Review. Some of the problems came from that book, but I have sorted them by standard, so the students work on the same standard on each page.

Each page has 4-6 problems to work on one specific skill.
The skills have at least one page per skill, but most have many more than that.

There are 12 pages of mixed one and two step word problems that work on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. These problems come from the “Problem of the Day” problems, but are not in the UPS-check format. (72 operation word problems)

There are a total of 82 pages for a 485 total problems in this packet.

Most of the problems are open ended—not multiple choice, so they are not in a test format. These are skill-based and meant to be a quick review.

They can be used in a variety of ways, but here are a few suggestions.

Individualized Intervention In Class Practice
Give students a packet with the skills they are weak in based on test results. (I use reports from DMAC.) Help students work through the problems during tutorials.

STAAR Test Review-Whole Class/Summer School/Quick Assessment
I like to do a few problems on each page together to help review the skill.
Then I assign the rest of the page for the students to do independently.
We grade the page together in class. I give them a grade by skill and record the grade on the “Score Sheet.” You can use some kind of motivational tool if students get so many problems correct. This will give you a quick way to track which skills students still need to work on before taking the test. If you are short on time, you can give students a time limit.

Please download the preview, so you can get an idea of what the problems are like before you purchase.

Please note 3-13-17: I have added a partial Answer Key to this product. I have uploaded the part that I have finished so far because I've had many teachers asking for an answer key, so I figured a partial is better than no answer key at all. I'm working on finishing it up this week, and will upload it when it's finished. Thank you!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at topoftxteacher@gmail.com.

Thank you!
