What educators are saying

This resource is wonderful for keeping students with severe disabilities engaged. I've found that nursery rhymes are a good way to target joint attention skills.
I used this for a student with Autism to help him transition to PE, Music, recess and to his reading classroom. It was a game changer.

Description

5 Little Speckled Frogs is a much loved nursery rhyme in early childhood classrooms and early intervention settings. This resource is designed to support children, who may have special needs such as autism, to engage with the song through an interactive book and with props and work on related IEP goals. It is still suitable for mainstream Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms. The song is a great warm up activity for early counting lessons and so I have also included a black and white mini book in which students count the frogs 1-10 and write the numbers. A second mini book 'I See a Frog' was designed for students with a commenting speech goal but would also be a fun addition to any frog unit. Both books use black line images which can be colored by students.

This Listing Includes:

  • 10 Interactive pages plus cover and backing page.
  • Numbers 1-5 in which students place on the frog pages throughout the rhyme. Great for counting.
  • 5 green frogs which can be placed on each pond page "One jumped into the pool..."
  • Blank backing page for storing visuals.
  • Instructions for assembly.

  • 5 frogs without numbers
