⭐️ REVIEW

"Used this for tutoring as a diagnostic on our first meeting to see what gaps needed to be filled before we started meeting regularly."

⭐️ DESCRIPTION

These tests are designed to be given at the beginning of the year to assess what the students know coming into the school year. These can be used at the beginning of the year in fourth grade to see what the students know before the school year starts, throughout the year to continuously find the level of the students or to find the weak and strong areas for each student. Additionally, this could be used at the end of the year in fourth grade to assess their progress and see what all they learned. These tests could also be used as a review at the beginning of the year in 5th grade.

Answer keys are included for both tests!

Math:

Standards covered:

•MGSE4.OA.3 Solve multistep word problems with whole numbers and having whole number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted.

•MGSE4.OA.4 Find all factor pairs for a whole number in the range 1–100.

•MGSE4.OA.5 Generate a number or shape pattern that follows a given rule.

•MGSE4.NBT.2 Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.

•MGSE4.NBT.3 Use place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any place.

•MGSE4.NBT.4 Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.

•MGSE4.NBT.5 Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations.

•MGSE4.NBT.6 Find whole-number quotients and remainders with up to four-digit dividends and one-digit divisors, using strategies based on place value, the properties of operations

•MGSE4.NF.1 Explain why two or more fractions are equivalent by using visual fraction models

•MGSE4.NF.4 Apply and extend previous understandings of multiplication to multiply a fraction by a whole number
