Description
Help your students to develop a conceptual understanding of multi-digit division with area models and partial quotient with this five week division unit!
This individual unit is also available in my 4th Grade Math Bundle.
The multi digit division lessons are written to give students a solid foundation of the concept of division, and dividing 2-digit, 3-digit, and 4-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers. Students will learn to divide larger numbers through area models, place value, and partial quotient. In this unit you will find performance tasks to conceptually teach new skills through problem solving, as well as optional math center activities and division games for review.
The lessons are engaging and student friendly with an emphasis on authentic understanding of multi digit division. While rigorous, there is ample scaffolding to support all students. Differentiation is embedded into student tasks.
