- Each of Sally’s packets follow an “I Do, We Do, You Do” format. A math concept is introduced whole group, students then practice with a partner, and finish with independent work time. This deliberate scaffolding keeps students from feeling defeated or frustrated!
- Sally’s packets also build slowly in difficulty. We meet students where they are, regardless of level. As students gain confidence, the problems get progressively harder. Not all students will complete all problems and that is by design!
- Each packet finishes with a “Challenge Page” for anyone who needs something extra! Multiple pages of practice are included in every lesson to avoid early finishers.
In addition to the deliberate scaffolding, each packet in this 4th Grade Measurement Unit also includes an instructional guide jam-packed with teaching hacks and best practices.
