What educators are saying

My fourth graders loved this resource! It was a great way to supplement our math curriculum and gave the students more hands-on, collaborative opportunities. Thank you!
This was a great resource to use with my students that had already hit mastery on these standards. They enjoyed making up their own parts of their resort as they worked on the assignment.

In this challenge, students will design a vacation resort, think mathematically, and create an advertisement to showcase their work.

Check out the Contents of this 4th and 5th Grade Math Project:

✏️5 Design Elements (Students make decisions and create an imaginary resort)

✏️5 Multi-Step Problems (Most problems involve a full page of calculations. Tasks include all four operations and some understanding of remainders in division problems)

✏️Final Project - Create an Advertisement for your Resort

✏️Grading Rubric (Use for student self-reflection or for teacher grades)

Provide access to students in multiple languages! The printable and digital versions include English, Spanish, and French translations. Use this math project with English-Language Learners!

This multiplication and division project can be assigned digitally through Google Classroom and TPT Easel. You may also print the multiplication and division packet for gifted and talented students in your math class.

Use this Project-Based Learning Math Activity in so many ways!

✅ Wrap up math units with your whole class by assigning this project-based learning activity.

✅ Evaluate the abilities of your gifted and talented students through a pretest at the beginning of a unit. If they pass before receiving instruction, provide them with this independent math project instead.

✅ Invite students to complete this project-based learning assignment with a partner or small group to encourage math discussion.

✅ Print activities or assign them through digital means (Google Classroom, TPT Easel, etc.)

My 4th-grade students completed this project at the end of our multiplication and division unit. It involves a balance of creativity and interest along with real-world problems. I have also given this independent project to gifted students as an extension activity.
