    • lesson 3: long division using base ten blocks with and without remainders (up to 3 digit dividends)
    • lessons 4 & 5: long division with equal sharing (HTO boxes) with and without remainders (up to 4 digit dividends)
    • lessons 6 - 8: long division with partial quotients (Big 7 or Lucky 7) with and without remainders (up to 4 digit dividends)
    • lessons 9 - 12: long division with the standard algorithm with and without remainders (up to 4 digit dividends)
    • lesson 13: interpreting remainders in division word problems
    • lesson 14: key words in multiplication and division word problems
    • lesson 15: review of all long division strategies
    • lesson 16: long division unit test

    This unit bundle includes:

    • a unit guide with 16 easy to follow lesson plans for each day plus printable worksheets, activities, study guide, a unit test assessment, and answer keys

Find whole-number quotients and remainders with up to four-digit dividends and one-digit divisors, using strategies based on place value, the properties of operations, and/or the relationship between multiplication and division. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Interpret products of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 5 × 7 as the total number of objects in 5 groups of 7 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a total number of objects can be expressed as 5 × 7.
Interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 56 ÷ 8 as the number of objects in each share when 56 objects are partitioned equally into 8 shares, or as a number of shares when 56 objects are partitioned into equal shares of 8 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a number of shares or a number of groups can be expressed as 56 ÷ 8.
Use multiplication and division within 100 to solve word problems in situations involving equal groups, arrays, and measurement quantities, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three whole numbers. For example, determine the unknown number that makes the equation true in each of the equations 8 × ? = 48, 5 = __ ÷ 3, 6 × 6 = ?.
