Description

“Did I already teach that standard?” …… “How did I teach that skill last year?”

Sound familiar? This Teacher Checklist will definitely keep you from asking those questions again! I designed the checklist to align with the ELA Common Core State Standards for 4th grade.

The checklist is divided into the following 4 color coded categories:
*Reading - Literature (RL.4.1 - 4.7, 4.9)
*Reading - Informational Text (RI.4.1 - 4.9)
*Language (L.4.1 - L.4.6)
*Writing (W.3.1 - W.3.9)

The Reading Literature and Informational Text section includes:
* the standard
* the standard number (like RL.4.1),
* a column to record the date the standard was taught
* a column to record % of mastery
* 3 blank columns so you can add other information
* a box to record the resources you used to teach the standard
* a box for extra notes
* ….and my favorite!.....an Essential Question that addresses each standard

The Essential Question(s) will help to guide your lesson for the day. They were written by taking the standard and turning them into a question. In my classroom, I will be posting the Essential Questions each day so the students know exactly what they will be learning. The questions could also be used in connection with an Exit Ticket to assess your students’ understanding of the lesson/standard.

The Language and Writing section includes:
* the standard
* the standard number (like W.4.1),
* a column to record the date the standard was taught
* a column to record % of mastery
* 3 blank columns so you can add other information
* a box to record the resources you used to teach the standard
* a box for extra notes
(There are no essential questions for Language and Writing)

I have included a 6-page preview (full pages!) so that you can see the quality of work in this product. Please ask any and all questions before you purchase.
