Description

Upgrade your close reading strategies with graphic organizers! This resource includes 13 graphic organizers that are tailored to 14 4th Grade Common Core ELA standards.

In previous years, I found my students would annotate passages willy-nilly without any rhyme or reason to what they were paying attention to! I use these graphic organizers when annotating texts to help my students annotate with intention and really understand and comprehend the text.

This resource includes:

  • 13 Graphic Organizers that support these 14 standards:
    • RL.01 & RI.01 Literature and Informational Inferencing
    • RL.02 Theme
    • RL.03 Characters, Events, and Setting
    • RL.04 Figurative Language & Context Clues
    • RL.05 Poetry, Drama, and Prose
    • RL.06 POV
    • RL.09 Comparing Theme
    • RI.02 Main Idea
    • RI.05 Text Structure
    • RI.06 Primary and Secondary Sources
    • RI.07 Text Features
    • RI.08 Author’s Reasons & Evidence

You will love how these graphic organizers transform your ELA close reading lessons!
