There are 3 different levels that increase in rigor:
Level A: Beginner
- Includes 10 math talk activities
- 4 questions in each activity
- Focus on decimals 0.01 - 0.30
- Each activity includes a forward counting warm-up
Level B: Intermediate
- Includes 10 math talk activities
- 4 questions in each activity with increasing difficulty
- Focus on decimals 0.31 - 0.65
- Each activity includes a forward or backward counting warm-up within 1.00
Level C: Advanced
- Includes 10 math talk activities
- 4 challenging questions building on the understanding from previous levels
- Focus on decimals 0.66 - 1.00
- Each activity includes forward or backward counting warm-up within 1.00
How can this routine be used?
I recommend using this as a daily warm up for 30 days. Complete one activity per day. This is also a great for number sense review .
How does it work?
Simply bring your students to the front of the Interactive Whiteboard, project the daily activity and provide students opportunities to discuss. The answers are provided!
