Description

Do your students need extra help counting by hundredths and understanding decimals within 1.00? Or do they have a hard time recognizing that a given decimal is composed of tenths and/or hundredths through 1.00?

Then the Decimals Math Talk Daily Routine is just right for you and your kids!

What is it?

It's an awesome math routine that walks your students through 4 daily questions to build decimal sense. This routine focuses on decimals within the hundredths.

How many math talk activities are included?

This awesome pack contains 30 math talks that are individually saved to pdf files. The best part is that the math talk routines are divided into 3 different levels. They are easily organized so that you can meet the needs of your students and stretch their number sense.

Read, write, and compare decimals to thousandths.
Express a fraction with denominator 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100, and use this technique to add two fractions with respective denominators 10 and 100. For example, express 3/10 as 30/100, and add 3/10 + 4/100 = 34/100.
Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line diagram.
