4th Grade Daily Literacy Centers for the Whole Year

Provide students with quality 4th Grade literacy center activities EVERY DAY! This YEARLONG bundle contains over 140 daily exercises in all areas of Language Arts including Literature Skills, Informational Text, Language, Vocabulary, Writing, Keyboarding, and Spelling! All activities emphasize a hands-on and higher level thinking approach to common core skills typically encountered on state tests (including getting ready for the technology portion!). A guideline on how to best implement this center routine into your daily schedule is included! This is one of the most productive and focused programs I use in my own classroom. 36 WRITING JOURNALS: Topics on ½ page sheets with graphics spiral through the 3 main writing areas: expository, narrative, & persuasive and use interesting, seasonal prompts. Also included is a mini rubric that can be used for quick assessments!

30 LA SPIRAL REVIEW ACTIVITY SHEETS: These review sheets spiral through over 25 common core standards! Each sheet contains 10 rich questions in Literature, Informational Text, Language, and Vocabulary! (Emphasis was placed on “hard to assess” standards including 1st/2nd hand accounts of information, text structure, theme, & literature analysis.)

15 SPELLING ACTIVITY SHEETS: Decorated with fun graphics and organizers, each of the 15 activity sheets provides students with clear directions designed to reinforce spelling patterns for up to 20 words. From using codes to highlighters to dice, students will be actively engaged with their weekly words!

30 TECHNOLOGY SKILL TASK CARDS: Over 30 task cards are designed for students to independently practice skills in Google Docs including: keyboarding practice, formatting (changing sizes, fonts, alignment, underlining, etc.) creating lists, copy/ pasting/deleting text, inserting images in documents, and utilizing available tools such as spell check and free internet programs.

30 CUT AND PASTE LA SORT BOARDS: This engaging set of standards-aligned sorting boards will have students identifying, analyzing, and sorting common language arts items such as figurative language, grammar, 1st and 2nd hand accounts, text structure, roots, writing purposes, and so much more!
