What educators are saying

I have used this resource for at least 3 years now and my students always love it! They get practice on the standard they will be tested on but in a fun cute Carnival theme.
My class told me this was the best day of school they had! And I was so pleased by the quality of the review materials. I definitely recommend this to any third grade teacher preparing for state tests!

Description

This product was a HUGE labor of love! It comes with everything you could ever possibly need to help you transform your classroom into an unforgettable test-prep experience for your students!

Now DIGITAL!

In 17 years of teaching, I have NEVER seen such dedicated, focused, unstressed students during the weeks leading up to a big test. A little planning and preparation on my part turned in to 8 days of the most intensely focused test prep I’ve ever seen and made all of the time I spent preparing so completely worth it. I am not kidding when I say I’ve never seen such a focused, engaged week of test prep in my life. Some of my students even begged to take their packets to recess or finish them at home! When it was time to take the state test, my students were relaxed, completely prepared and ready to show off their skills.

Included:

*50 pages of 3rd grade math review organized into 8 packets (multiplication & division, computation, word problems, fractions, measurement, area & perimeter, mixed operations and geometry & graphing)

*Matching EDITABLE review slides - create even more review problems or add other subjects in as well!

*Pictures, directions and tips to help you transform your room into a carnival for little to no extra money

*Over 100 pages of carnival game pieces

*Testing tips and notes of encouragement for your students

*All challenge are now in Google Slides as well

*This product isn't just for preparing students for a big test. It can also be used for end of year review or to fit any theme. The editable slides allow you to customize the work for any grade level and any occasion.

*If you don't have time to transform you room into a carnival, don't worry! This product can easily be print-and-go as well.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.
Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.
Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
Generate measurement data by measuring lengths using rulers marked with halves and fourths of an inch. Show the data by making a line plot, where the horizontal scale is marked off in appropriate units-whole numbers, halves, or quarters.
Recognize area as an attribute of plane figures and understand concepts of area measurement.
