What educators are saying

We used this right before the STAAR test, defintely using it again. Definitions are very student friendly

Description

I created this bingo game while looking at previous STAAR tests and lists of “stem questions” for reading. I noticed many of my students (especially my ELLs) had trouble with terminology used on the test. I wanted a fun way for them to become more familiar with the test vocabulary.

I used this game whole class, small group, during tutoring, and I even gave it to my Tier II and Tier III teachers who were enlisted to help prepare them for the reading test.

There are 29 different vocabulary words used in this game. (Some words included are: conclude, infer, author's purpose, passage, theme, diagram, prefix, dictionary entry, narrative, etc).

Included are 24 different bingo cards (enough for a whole class) and 29 different terminology cards.

I did leave this product editable. That way if you use different wording for your students, you can easily edit it on the cards to meet your needs. (This was created in Word).

If students have to pass the Texas STAAR test, than we might as well try to have fun with the terminology test makers use on our babies.
