Description

In upper elementary grades, students need to learn the fundamental skills necessary for report writing.
This report is designed around the classic of Mr. Popper's Penguins by Richard and Florence Atwater.
The book report contains all the parts necessary for a whole novel study including:
-A Note/Planning sheet to be used as the book is read
-Quizzes for ongoing assessment to measure comprehension
-Book report guidelines and rubric for each paragraph
-Report due dates and manageable weekly assignments for each student to complete
-A visual project and enhancement to be completed to supplement the project (cartoon strip)
-Instructions for the enhancement, including pictures, step by step instructions and ideas
-Handouts to be used by the teacher to communicate with School to home about missed/ late reports

The report will have four parts:
-planning
-writing
-editing
-illustrating
