Description
This bundle of math projects has what you need to review key concepts from the year. Designed around multiple 3rd grade standards, these projects will be useful all year round. Now includes 7 math projects to keep your students actively learning and applying skills to real world problems!
In "Zoo Keeper!" students practice multiplication and division skills, including the distributive property, while they run their own zoo.
In "Dino Dig!" students practice multiplication skills while they lead an expedition to a paleontology site. This product is differentiated, and includes 3 different levels of each activity.
In "Design a Farm," students practice skills from throughout the year as they draw and answer questions about their farm.
In "Design an Aquarium," students practice a multitude of skills as they create tanks, set admission prices, and decorate the exhibits in their very own aquarium museum.
In "Road Trip," students review what they have learned in 3rd grade by reading road signs, packing their bags, and mapping out their trip. This resource includes a possible digital component for students to complete as an extension.
In "Gone Fishing," students apply what they know about multiplication and division to a fishing excursion. They figure out how much a fishing license could cost them, look at boat rentals, buy food for the trip, and share their catch between their fishing party.
In "Run a Cafe," students apply their knowledge of multiple third grade math concepts and skills such as multiplication, multi-digit addition and subtraction, telling time, elapsed time, graphing, area, perimeter, fractions, and line plots to open and run their very own café. This real world based project will help your students understand how math can apply to owning a business.
In "Build an Ice Cream Truck," students get to design and build their own ice cream truck, survey others to decide what flavors they will stock and which flavors they will stock the most of, decide what measurements of supplies would make the most sense, figure out missing order amounts, and create graphs from information.
