Description
I created the original version 10 years ago for my 5th grade class, who absolutely loved it! Since then, students have returned from college and let me know that these lyrics remained in their heads throughout high school whenever they needed to find the mean, median, or mode. So, I updated it, adding a new beat and additional lyrics for practicing the concepts.
This zipped file contains the 2015 version (.mp3), lyrics (.docx), and the instrumental version (.mp3). It works well for math centers, small group practice, and whole group activity. Challenge students to memorize the song or make up their own lyrics and perform it with the instrumental track! To give students the complete experience, purchase the "Mean, Median, Mode (and Range)" Powerpoint lesson, also available through the Doc Smith store.
