First, your students will read and analyze an informational text about the potential dangers of working with a 3D printer. Then they’ll review basic 3D printing safety rules. Next, they’ll use task cards to participate in a card sort and evaluate 3D printing scenarios for safe and unsafe behaviors. They’ll check their understanding in a color-by-number activity. Then they’ll take a 3D printing safety assessment, and earn their official 3D printing license.
This resource is perfect for preparing your students for 3D printing projects. You can use all the activities in the suggested sequence or choose the activities that best meet your classroom needs.
